Voyager 1

To prevent the loss of the space probes, NASA has decided to shut down two additional instruments to extend their operational lifespan.

The spacecraft stopped transmitting signals to Earth through its main radio transmitter.

NASA launched the Voyager 1 space probe into space 47 years ago. It’s the farthest manufactured object from Earth (more than 15 billion miles away).

NASA has combined its antennas’ power to communicate with the old space probe.

NASA is one step closer to fixing the Voyager 1. Next, it's going to try to get the spacecraft to send back more data.
