I've been in media for over a decade, but I've been marveling at the possibilities that technology brings us much longer. I believe we live in a world where the digital revolution is changing everything and that Xataka is the best place to write about it.

The U.S.-China tariff war has intensified, with levies exceeding 100%. This represents one of the tensest moments in the trade relationship between the two countries. Meanwhile, Washington has offered temporary relief to other nations, suspending the so-called “reciprocal tariffs” while maintaining a base tariff of 10%.

Beyond the geopolitical tensions, many wonder how this situation will impact prices for some products. To what extent will it affect your daily life? In the U.S., the answer is becoming clear: Prices for tech accessories are rising. Notably, it’s happening among lesser-known brands and well-established names such as Logitech and Anker.

More expensive mice. YouTube channel Cameron Dougherty Tech recently reported price increases of up to 25% for some Logitech accessories. While not all products have been affected, there are notable examples. The MX Master 3S has increased prices from $89.99 to $119.99. Similarly, the cost of the Pro X TKL keyboard has risen from $199.99 at launch to $219.99 now.

Not all prices have gone up, though. Some models, such as the MX Ergo and the G703 gaming mouse, are priced the same as before. Interestingly, other products are now cheaper, including the Pro X Superlight (from $159.99 to $149.99). A decrease in prices isn’t unusual. It typically occurs for products that have been on the market longer or for entire product lines nearing an upgrade.

Prices of chargers and power banks are going up. According to Reuters, Anker has also raised prices on some of its products in the U.S. due to President Donald Trump’s new tariffs. Data from SmartScout indicates that around one-fifth of the Chinese company’s products have been rebranded, resulting in about 127 accessories now costing more.

For instance, the Anker Laptop Power Bank has increased from $88 to $110, while the Anker Prime Docking Station now costs $270, up from its original price of $250. These prices are accurate as of publication, but may frequently fluctuate due to ongoing promotions. Still, SmartScout warns of a “concerted effort” to steadily raise prices.
