Apple started the week with major announcements. After boosting the iPad lineup with more power and storage, and upgrading the iPad Air with Apple Intelligence, the company has turned its attention to its most popular laptop: the MacBook Air.
The latest model brings a faster processor and new colors, but the biggest surprise is a lower starting price. Let’s break down what makes this upgrade a compelling choice.
More Power, New Colors, Lower Price
Apple has equipped the MacBook Air (2025) with the M4 chip, first introduced in 2024. This processor features up to 10 CPU and GPU cores, delivering improved performance.

Memory configurations start at 16 GB of unified memory, with an option to expand up to 32 GB. Storage begins at 256 GB of solid-state drive space, maxing out at 2 TB.
Screen sizes remain unchanged—users can choose between a 13-inch or 15-inch Liquid Retina display with high resolution and up to 500 nits of brightness. The chassis design also stays the same as last year’s model.
However, Apple has introduced the new Sky Blue color, a sleek metallic light blue option that expands the lineup.

A notable upgrade is the 12-megapixel Center Stage camera, borrowed from the MacBook Pro. This addition enhances video conferencing, improving framing and image quality.
